I was the first LighterLife franchisee in
Edinburgh and it was very exciting to be able to
bring LighterLife to so many people. LighterLife clearly works
as we now have almost 30 Counsellors in Scotland.
I think having lost weight with
LighterLife helps me understand how much being overweight stops
people living life to the full and how great it can feel to lose
those excess pounds. My personal experience helps me adapt to all
the situations I come up against with all the different groups and
clients. It helps me support, encourage and not
judge.
When I started my franchise in 2005 I
had two young children, one of whom was only months old, and one of
the reasons I chose this job was because it suited my family life.
I choose when I work and can adapt my working life during the
school holidays to spend more time with my boys. There aren't many
working Mums who can take their children to school every day and
pick them up every day and still earn a great income from doing a
job they love. I feel very lucky to have the right balance for me
and that translates to my family as it is the right balance for
them too.
